What we wore at the Classic Carboot Sale in London, April 2025
The Classic Carboot Sale in London is known for its immaculate vibes and first-class vintage outfits, so naturally, we had to join in.
We’ve been accused of matching our outfits on purpose, but the truth is, we really don’t. We just happen to have naturally really good taste (hehe). The thing with vintage western wear is that even pieces from different decades can work very well together.
Joao’s rocked a full 70s look: Lee overshirt, Wrancher pants and striped Ely shirt. The glasses are also 70s Raybans, Nocona belt buckle and his good ol’ boots he thrifted in Oklahoma. Hat is Larry Mahan - straw was the perfect choice for this sunny day.
Marina wore her 40s Levi’s longhorn wool suit, paired with a 50s Miller’s necktie, Rayban Chromance aviators, COS tanktop, The Odderside belt and 20x Stetson hat. Boots are unbranded, made in Tx.
Part flea market, part vintage style showcase, The Classic Carboot Sale is what Milan Fashion Week is for trendsetters - but because the vintage community here is so warm and welcoming, the whole event feels more like a fun park or a very stylish meetup with your long-lost friends.
And since it’s a carboot sale, one shouldn’t go back home empty-handed, right? Marina snapped this 1950s car hanging cowgirl from @vintage_house813 - perfect match for her electric VW!
We put together the below video with some of the standout outfits we spotted on Sunday, just one day of the event, and we no doubt missed so many insanely well-dressed folks of all ages. Hanging out in places like this is always so inspiring! We already can’t wait for the next (September?) event, and if you’re reading this and considering coming down south, don’t think twice - and thank us later!
See you at the next event and if you’re there, come say howdy!
