Desert Suedes Taylors of California, made just after WWII, c. 1946
A fully coordinated vest and knee‑length culotte skirt, each trimmed in hand‑cut chocolate fringe
Two‑tone split cowhide: saddle‑tan main panels, chocolate contrast points & 4½ in. fringe
Hand whip‑stitch detailing throughout
Early Talon metal side‑zip on culottes with bell‑pull slider & twin waistband hooks
Culottes have riding gusset so they wear like a skirt yet straddle like shorts
Very good vintage condition. Suede is supple with even colour; fringe intact. Light edge darkening at waistband and under‑arm facing, normal for 75‑year‑old split hide. Clean lining, no odors. All metal hardware original and working.
